Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really proceeding.
